Stevens' longtime commitment to educating members of all branches of the armed forces can be traced to its naval origins, having played a role in virtually every major maritime and coastal engineering advance. From our National Centers of Excellence – the Systems Engineering Research Center designated by the DoD and the Center for Secure and Resilient Maritime Commerce designated by the DHS – Stevens is dedicated to providing first-class education and service to our nation's active duty, Veteran and dependent military community.

Stevens wants to ensure that veterans receive the services they need to seamlessly transition in to the Stevens community. The SVO, along with with other campus offices, offer students health/counseling services, fitness facilities and access to the campus ministry.
